[ts-7000] Loading Debian Lenny onto micro SD card for ts-7500

Someone in the office mistakenly formatted my Debian micro SD card 
(awesome...).  I know this is a newbie question, i'm not extremely familiar 
with linux, but could someone explain to me how to go about loading the SD card 
with the most recent TS-7500 Debian Lenny distribution?  I've downloaded the 
tar.gz file from the technologic services FTP server, I'm running Ubuntu out of 
VMware player and every way I try to do it, when i connect to the 7500 board 
and try to boot the SD card, the connection is closed.

Help!
