Hi Waman,
First, follow these steps: sudo apt-get install minicom Then, 1) Configure sudo. Become super user: su - password 2) Edit /etc/sudoers vim /etc/sudoers And add the following line to the end of the file: useracct ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD:ALL 3) Force save from vim: :wq! 4) Verify /etc/sudoers permissions ls -l /etc/sudoers -r--r----- 1 root root 509 2010-07-20 15:37 /etc/sudoers This is mode 440, as it must be for sudo to work properly. 5) Now confirm sudo functionality: sudo cat /etc/shadow This should dump the file without you having to type the password. Reboot your PC. 6) Launch minicom with configuration option minicom -s and you will see the minicom setup menu: +-----[configuration]------+ | Filenames and paths | | File transfer protocols | | Serial port setup | | Modem and dialing | | Screen and keyboard | | Save setup as dfl | | Save setup as.. | | Exit | | Exit from Minicom | +--------------------------+ 7) Set serial configuration Choose "Serial port setup" and make the following selections : Item Setting Value A Serial Device /dev/ttyS0 B Lockfile Location /var/lock C Callin Program D Callout Program E Bps/Par/Bits 115200 8N1 F Hardware Flow Control No G Software Flow Control No 8) Save minicom configuration Now choose "Save setup as dfl" to lock in those settings. If this step gives you a permission error, not to worry open another shell and use sudo/su to allow the useracct to save the config. Now, you should be able to communicate with your TS7200 board . I hope to have helped you. Tell me if you had success. Regards, Ricardo De: wawan_wiratno <> Para: Enviado: lunes, 23 de mayo de 2011 2:18 Asunto: [ts-7000] Console minicom doesnt working Hi All,
