Thanks Daniel for your help and thank everyone who helped me. Finally, I load the kernel (tskernel-2.6.21-ts) via tftp, following
the steps in this link: http://www.simiolabs.com/developer/wiki/index.php?title=Compiling_and_running_kernel_2.6 The version 2.6 of Kernel works fine from a USB stick. Unfortunately, I could not update or install some programs using the "apt-get" command . But this issue I will discuss in another topic. Thanks!!! Cheers ... Finally, I load the kernel (tskernel-2.6.21-ts) via tftp. The problem was in the config file, after of execute the command: make menuconfig. Because, the menuconfig wasn't saving correctly the config file. But I have another problem now. I can't update the version of gcc compiler. The kernel has the version 3.3.5 of gcc. I need the version 4.3 of gcc compiler When I run the command: apt-get install gcc, the screen show me the following message: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done gcc-3.3.5 is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. How I can upgrade to 4.3 version? Hello, have you set up your USB filesystem correctly? Remember that this will only work if you have a USB drive with a working filesystem attached to the SBC. Maybe you can try and allow more time for the process to find the filesystem, change:
console=ttyAM0,115200 root=/dev/sda1 rootdelay=5 to console=ttyAM0,115200 root=/dev/sda1 rootdelay=10 Let me know how that goes.
