All So far, i had 7 SD cards failed with identical problem. It is very serious to me... All of SD cards failed to access home/eclipse directory. Basically, data corruption occurred. I have three programs and three log files in that directory. Linux itself seems running OK and I just can not access this directory. I spent almost a week how to resolve this. This is my plan. I appreciate any comment. 1) ext3 Format SD card with 1024 block size. I don't know where. I think data corruption occurs in block size so that I figure smaller block size is better. 2) Split program files and log files into two separate directory. Since all 7 SD cards failed to access home/eclipse directory, i think i create two directories. 3) I create back up directories so that if the primary directory is corrupted, then the code can be reloaded from secondary directory. I may be able to do this automatically. 4) Use industrial-grade microSD card. I didn't know till yesterday. There is a thing called industrial-grade microSD card. http://www.atpinc.com/p2-4a.php?sn=00000391 I have no experience with this. But it sounds better.5) Implement battery back-up system. My application has A/D converter controlled by SPI of TS7500, which can monitor batter voltage level and main power input. So i can write a code to do safely shutdown TS7500 if battery voltage drops to a certain level. I appreciated any comment or sharing of your experience. I am sure SD card reliability is a major issue of using TS board.
