At one point I contacted Technologic, but was told that their SDRAM controller
was proprietary and I was not provided any pricing information or anything.
I'm not trying to make a commercial product or anything that will be
distributed, I'm just trying to further my own education and at the moment
writing a controller myself seems to be beyond my ability. I've looked at a
few examples around the web, but many are written in VHDL (which I can barely
read) and I keep seeing comments that lead me not to trust any of their
implementations.
Is there anyone out there with experience implementing such a thing. I'm
initially just looking for something simple that provides me an SRAM-like
interface for testing, but ultimately I will need burst read transfers of 16
bytes in order to feed the custom GPU I am designing.
