You have to be root to access /dev/sd* -- otherwise you could just open up the
raw device, and ready anybody's files. Either run the whole command as root, or
put a 'sudo' in front of the dd.

dd of = / dev/sdc1 taken from this page
http://www.embeddedarm.com/about/resource.php?item = 485 tells me permission
denied. Any ideas. Anyone have a guide to compile the
tskernel-2.6.21-ts-src.tar.gz
