The partition is easy to expand assuming it's the last one. Just use fdisk 
/dev/sdwhatever then delete the last partition and re-create it using the same 
starting sector and using the last sector offered to you.

More interesting is the problem of telling the filesystem that it has more 
space available to it.  If it's ext2/ext3 you can just run resize2fs. If it's 
another filesystem it may be harder.

As a backup solution, since my micro-SD port seems broken, I would like to use 
my 16GB micro-SD card through its SD adapter as boot source. Cloning the 2GB on 
it works but I would like to take advantage of the full size of the card.

How can I expand the Debian partition to the full size of the card?
