No, I get nothing on the kind in the whole of "/var/log/syslog" No obvious 
mention of this USB device at all. 

Perhaps I should have made it clearer, when I meant a "stick" I didn't mean a 
"memory stick". In other words this is a HID compliant device, not a memory 
device, it looks to the system just like a USB keyboard or mouse. You 
communicate with it using standard USB1 HID reports. There is no such thing as 
a special driver for it, as it would use the in-built HID kb/mouse one (at 
least this is the way it works in Windows)  

I can programmatically read reports from a mouse and keyboard (using the event 
stream) which makes me assume some form of default HID driver is already 
present on the TS7800.
