To be honest, the fact that TS never discontinues a product is a big
selling point for us. I would hate to have developed something with
about a year of development effort and find the product was discontinued.

The documentation on the peripherials we use has been sufficient to
develop drivers. The reason I chose the driver approach is to make my
userspace software simpler, also, I can make use the peripherals without
root access with a driver in a secure fashion.

I will probably see if I can make that a project for next year, but you
are right. I did not look closely enough at the kernel source release.
It does contain the information I need to port to the current mainline.
