Newbie's problem

I have a TS7800 card, with Eclipse Europa installed on my PC, all straight out
of Technologic's SD.

I can compile the "helloworld" demo program and transfer (and run) on the
target by dragging the binary file using Eclipse onto the "remote Systems" tab
and FTP/FILES/ROOT/HOME/ECLIPSE folder on the TS78000. It runs OK on the
TS7800. (this is by entering the 'chmod 755 helloworld' followed by
'./helloworld' commands)

However, when I try doing the same with the "tolcd" demo program I get a
"segmentation fault" on the TS7800. Arguably because "tolcd" contains direct
calls to I/O ports.

My limited understanding of Linux is that in order to run this type of program
it needs to reside in the target's root folder. However dragging the icon to
the FTP/FILES/ROOT, or even FTP/FILES/ROOT/BIN doesn't seem to result in an
actual transfer. I can't see "tolcd" on the TS7800

What am I doing wrong? Alternatively can somebody explain the procedure for
running "tolcd" on the TS7800 target? Step by step and plain english please. I
am only a Linux newbie.

thanks
