Right, I should have read the original message more carefully.

I haven't tried this myself but you should be able to create a partitioned SD 
card from scratch with the required 1,2,3,4 layout and additional partitions.

The script TS uses to create the SD card has some clues:

ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7300-linux/binaries/ts-scripts/make_sd

Not sure what dd2sdrawimg does...
