Hi Folks,
I am wishing to minimise unnecessary NAND wear on my TS-7800, and so
considering disabling sysklogd and klogd.
Although the standard UNIX line is to always have these servers enabled, my
particular embedded application is stable, single-user application operating in
a secure private network. The usual need for logging is not as strong. To be
honest, after 10 years of using embedded Linux I have seldom sought info from
these files (dmesg aside).
I'd be delighted to find some aggregated experience and wisdom here.
Regards
Roy
