I don't remember if the 7550 has a disk memory but you can also boot form there on the 7500

Subject: [ts-7000] TS-7550 USB Webcam and upgrade questions

I have the TS-7550 and have just disk dumped the June 2010 software update onto the flash:
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7500-linux/binaries/ts-images/2gbsd-eclipse-jun012010.dd.bz2

I have a Logitech webcam that I'd like to use with the board, but I do NOT have the TS-ENC750 enclosure so I will not be able to Lazarus my Kernel if I brick my board.

With this in mind, how do I gain USB webcam support? I got the UVC source from http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/ which used to be linux-uvc.berlios.de/. I thought it would be as easy as moving the source onto the board and typing 'make', but alas, the source is too large and won't fit onto the board.

The idea of building kernel modules is pretty new and scary to me. Can anyone help me?

As a side note, after I disk dumped the update image described above, the following happens when I try to call a TS-specific utility:
ts7500:~# ts7500ctl --help
ts7500ctl: can't load library 'libc.so.0'
What is that about?
