are you using watchdog? If it's not your case, the board shouldn't reset
itself in case of kernel oops. It would just get stuck or in some cases it
would continue working and you should see the oops in your logs. If there's
nothing in your logs, I wouldn't think it's kernel related and would suspect
power issues.
