[ts-7000] Power source options for TS-7400

Hi, I'm looking to build an sensor system based on TS-7400. However, I 
like to have a battery backup for two or more hours and flexible power 
input option (car 12-24V and USB charging in addition 5V power supply) 
as those would be deployed into various environments.

I assume (needs to measure) that the total current drain from add-on 
devices is  less than 500 mA, i.e. I would need 1500 - 2000 mAh battery 
for that 2+ hour backup time.

Has anyone used or developed such system?  Any pointers?
