You might take a look at the linux comedi project for analog & digital IO in
linux. Many different converters are supported, and all present the same
programming interface (as far as possible).
May be a good place to look for model drivers and bounce things off that
mailing list. Releases & web updates appear to lag, but M/L and the code
development is active.
