yes, the schematic from TS shows XC9572XL CPLD. You could in principal
reprogram it via JTAG but it sounds like a whole lot of work and you'd need the
image that corresponds to the ADC version of the board.
If it's not just a one off maybe it would be worth sussing this and saving the
$35 for the option. It's always seemed a high price for a MAX197.
If you have not used the board I guess TS may be prepared to swap it. If not,
they will probably charge a small fee and postage there and back... Maybe
cheaper to sell yours on ebay an buy what you really wanted from TS.
