Just as a sanity check, I booted the board without loading tsuart1 or tsuart7800 automatically. After it was up, I checked and the devices were not present as expected. After loading the modules, the devices were created and reported in /var/log/messages (dmesg). So far so good. Then I opened kermit and used some standard options. Currently the DIO pins for ttsn6 are directly connected in a loopback fashion. Kermit commands: set line /dev/ttts6At this point, I would suspect anything typed should be echoed back as received. No luck but at least kermit didn't hang like previous attempts. Lacking comm, I went to close the port. In /var/log/messages, I got the following: Jan 1 00:00:33 ts7800 kernel: tt8s9 at MMIO 0xe80000e4 (irq = 89) is a TSUARTThe kernel continues to spew the messages containing just the period. Obviously its in bad shape at this point. I repeated the same test several times. Same results. Replaced the current modules with the latest from the ftp site. No luck with that. Anyone have suggestions? __._,_.___
