Jacques,

I did try to do research on USB drives and I did try to mount the hard drive.  Here are the problems that I am running into:

First of all, based on what I found (article "How to format Hard drive in Linux" on eHow), the Linux supposed to detect USB hard drives and at least list them in /dev/ directory as /sd* device. Then I can use fdisk command to create new partitions.  I connected the hard drive and checked the /dev directory and there are no /sd* devices listed there.

I also tried to follow "Linux for ARM on TS-72XX" manual where they simply state that to mount USB-thumb drive, I just need to run command:
  mount /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/luno/part1 /mnt/
I checked the /dev/scsi directory, and the /scsi directory is empty.

type 'man mount' on host linux box
hint: /mnt/ is the mount point

The USB modules are installed using TS script /usr/bin/loadUSBModules.sh and the hard drive is connected to USB port.

So, I guess at the moment I am having problem finding the hard drive in the directory structure.

Any ideas?
