I keep hearing about this; I dont have this problem, but then again I 
use a 400MB Swapfile on CF... Which I think might be related to the problem.

IIRC nfs is pretty memory-oriented and likes to keep things really light 
and clean when it can -- except when files are being dealt with.

How big are these files? couple o' gigs? 300MiB?
