All I can tell you is that I recompiled the loader and it loads my
custom FPGA code correctly. My custom FPGA doesn't contain
frame-buffers, ethernet ports or serial ports.
If the serial ports in the standard FPGA load require kernel drivers
then you are going to have to find a way to get that code compiled into
the 2.6
kernel.
