[ts-7000] inotify? Anyone get this to work with the TS toolchains?

Trying a basic test of the inotify system but the compiler craps out saying 
that the simplest functions e.g. inotify_init are undefined.  I included 
<linux/inotify.h> and I've googled inotify to death.
