depending on what the previous filesystem / kernel was ... it could
potentially be incompatibilities between the 2.4 kernel's yaffs and
the 2.6 kernel's yaffs ... the latter usually would not recognize the
former's at all and it would only see an unformatted yaffs partition.

The alternative way to get a working filesystem on your ts7260 in this
case would be to boot from nfs, create a yaffs image, and then write
the yaffs image to mtblock1 (or whatever it is).

dmesg output would be helpful if you need further assistance.
