There is a device driver for the '197 ADC in the files section. Actually two:
original v0.0.2 for 2.4 kernels by Phil MCCarley, and v0.0.3 which I hacked
enough to compile under 2.6 kernels (2.6.29 was the last I tried, I think).
Not sure why Matt dropped his version, I never had a chance to try it. Phil's
code could handle quite high sample rates with no problem.
There is also a user-mode utility around, as well as lots of info in the
archives. Your sample rate needs will determine if you need a kernel mode
device driver or can get by with userspace utilities.
