[ts-7000] 12 Volt lines on the PC/104 bus - how much power is available?

Here's an obscure question:  What's really happening on the 12 volt line of the 
PC/104 bus?  If you look at the schematic of say the 7350, I see that it says 
the 12-volt pin is really tied to the 5-28V source.  That would seem to be 
counter to the PC/104 spec.  Beyond that, the PC/104 spec says that a PC/104 
module should draw no more than 1 amp on the 12-volt line.  But since you can 
have a bunch of modules, that would mean that the SBC would have to supply 1 
amp for each one.  That could potentially be a ton of amps.  I can't imagine 
that the bus pins can handle that.  Anyone have a thought on this?
