Hi!

We currently have a retail product, booting on the linuxrc-fastboot with a few
modifications. We mount the mtdblock3 as a RW yaffs2 filesystem with every
needed debian libraries and program files. It actually work great, with no data
corruption when we do a hard power off.

Problem is boot time, it goes like this:
1. Boot linux (about 2-3sec)
2. Mount mtdblock3 (with error checking since it got a hard shutdown), about
25sec.
3. Launch our application, about 5sec.

Since we only use under 200mb of the 512mb mtdblock3 size, I though we could
save some mount time by reducing it's size. Do you know if it's possible? This
does not seems to be a simple "re-partiton" it because the yaffs2 filesystem
always use the whole block size, and it seem to be defined by the board kernel
modules or something. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and why does TS still make us use that oabi filesystem and don't offer
something up-to-date and working yet? Been a few years already..
