The restriction comes from the amount of space you have available for the 
distribution. You might need to use uclibc if you need to make your 
distribution fit in the smaller range (4/8/16/32/64Mb) of flash memories. I 
don't know whether you can compile rootfs small enough for the 4Mb NOR Flash 
that TS-7500 has using glibc. Check the resulting size of the glibc rootfs that 
you've succesfully built.

If you don't have rootfs size restictions (you're using USB thumb drive or SD 
card) then I'd suggest going with glibc.
