Ich have a problem with ethernet on TS7400 and can't figure it out.

Settings: winxp (ip:192.168.1.2, dhcp), virtualbox(debian linux) (bridged
network; static ip: 192.168.1.3), a route of brand netgear (NAT, 192.168.1.1).

I have configured ip&route on both flash TS-linux and Debian SD-card with
Static ip 192.168.1.5
And
default gateway 192.168.1.1
in /etc/network/interfaces
And set the nameserver in resolv.conf

Problem: I cannot connect to TS7400 with ftp/telnet/NFS from my winxp and
debian in virtual machine.

Diagnostic with Ping: I can correctly ping the gateway and external website
like www.google.com on TS7400.
But Strange is, TS7400 cannot ping the winxp or debian at first(no response
from console) but can be pinged by them, after that, TS7400 can ping them
successfully for several minutes.

Above diagnostic and problem are true for both TS-linux and Debian SD-card.

Other settings: - no firewalls on winxp and debian (Debian iptables off)
- no rules in route settings

Maybe there were some settings I forgot?

Thanks in advance.

Yue Zhu
