OK, now I got it: the default runlevel of the TS-7800 is 3, but mySql will only be started at 4 or 5. So changing the default runlevel will probably have too much side effects, it is better to add the startup script to the runlevel 3. The commands: cd /etc/rc3.d/ ln -s ../init.d/mysql S20mysql did the thing, now it is working fine :-) Thanks to all responded Achim ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
