Hello,
It seems that you are making this much more difficult than it really should be.
I'd suggest using a PC with an SD card reader to make the image and copy it
over...
To really make things simple, you don't really have to worry about imaging the
SD card you have. You can download it from
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7800-linux/distributions/debian-sarge-udev-512MB-latest.tar.gz
and use it to make a new SD card. If I recall correctly it contains
everything the SD card would have that came with the dev kit, including Eclipse
and the build tools.
