The TS7500

with the associated

case, looks perfect for what I want to do with pocobelle 2 (run the zoneminder
home security software and control a couple relays with it)
... but it's looking like my memory requirements to do that are going to
be in the 128MB-256MB range. (On top of what is already running on it, I
need mysql and a couple perl scripts, and yes, I can swap, but it still
looks dicy)
>From looking at the schematic it looks difficult to stack more ram on
the TS7500, and impossible to stuff it with a bigger ram (not enough
address pins), but I don't read schematics on a regular basis.
I went looking for other embedded boards and darn few have > 64MB
capability, or a sodimm slot. Maybe it's what atmel's been talking about
in that the non-embedded world has moved to DDR2?
I guess we're in an age, in the embedded world, where 640K is enough for
everyone. Am I right in thinking if I need more ram I need to look
elsewhere than the TS7500 board?
