Thanks for the pointers...

I'm a little concerned that the Lenny distro's version of hwclock.sh is considerably different than the sarge version.
I'm using TS's version of Lenny, but I wonder if they didn't update the stock hwclock.sh file with the correct version?
I'll have to look carefully at it to see what exactly it's doing.

In the Lenny distribution is hwclock called in the init process (see /etc/init.d/hwclock*) to set the system clock.
The hwclock utility provided by TS is modified rtc7800 as I know. It works well. The only flaw I've observed is the work with time zones, but I didn't look at it closer yet.
