In the Lenny distribution is hwclock called in the init process (see
/etc/init.d/hwclock*) to set the system clock.
The hwclock utility provided by TS is modified rtc7800 as I know. It works
well. The only flaw I've observed is the work with time zones, but I didn't
look at it closer yet.
