Thanks. These tips worked.
 
Anyone who could not connect ts-7300 to PC to transfer file via ftp should do the following
On the ts-7300 console type in
 
i) vi /etc/ftpusers and remove the root word there and save & close the file
Change the root password executing
ii) passwd root.. Enter root passwd twice as unix ask for
 
Use root and that password to log into via ftp.
 
I am writing it to make sure if somone read this thread, he could get the answer in the same thread to save time.

The username is root but the FTP daemon will not allow root to log in with a blank password. You will have to set the root password to something else. You should also check in /etc/ftpusers to make sure root is NOT in there.
