Hi guys
look up this dialog
Palmeira

Dear M. Grant,
I must say that I feel desapointed about the limited solutions proposed.
About the proposals, firstly, I do point that I´ve tried to use the TS-7KV
together with the TS-7300 because so it was annouced but in fact it does not
work at all, that is a false marketing. Facing that, it is senseless paying for
your engeneering as it seems unrelyable and I would be paying for the
fabicant´s errors
Secondly, the use of the VGA verilog core would entail on an adicional effort
as I intend to use the framebuffer RAM for another purpose. However, It seems
to be an interesting possibility to acomplish the use of your products.

Sincerely,
Paulo Palmeira

Paulo,
I discussed this with management, and unfortunately we are not interested in
fixing it. Our limited engineering staff is very busy developing new products.
We have no other customers using the TS-7KV with the TS-7300. If it is
helpful, we can provide you with our VGA verilog core for the TS-7300 so that
you can integrate that into your system. However if I understand you correctly
you are using the framebuffer RAM for another purpose.

I apologize for this unfortunate situation.

We would be able to look into this further and see about fixing the driver if
you are willing to pay for the engineering. Let me know if you are interested
in that.

Sincerely,
Grant

Paulo,
Thank you for the clarification. There is no reason that should not be
possible, we will look into it and see what changes are needed to make it work.

Sincerely,
Grant

Paulo,
My goal is to help you get our products to work. In order to do that I believe
I will need to better understand what you are trying to accomplish.

The TS-7300 already has a VGA output. Do you want need two separate video
signals?

Sincerely,
Grant

I hope for no incompatibily.
You must to decide for it.
at this moment you are wrong

of course, I would like to use 7kv video ( once, I buy it)
but I'not using the video 7kv, cause simply it dont works.
the 7kv software are obvously wrong,
dmesg coomand shows messages like :
Framebuffer at 0x21800000 allocated for TS-7KV with jumpers #1:OFF #2:OFF (and
other four combination of jumper )
This version doesn't support the current bitstream.

the remotion of 7kv software is no solution
your answer still unusefull
or maybe you recommned to place ts7300 on the trash..
thanks for regards
Palmeira

Paulo,
I don't believe the hardware is incompatible. Our default software load does
not expect a 7KV to be mounted on a 7300 and so it creates an unanticipated
issue which I have not fully investigated. It sounds like you are not using the
video on the 7KV, so you will want to disable the 7KV startup script in Debian
and then your system will be able to boot.

Sincerely,
Grant

PS
(look at section 6.4 ts3000 manual)

Thanks for regards
your docs says that ts-7kv is compatible
(once it is a PC104 board pluged
in a PC104 bus are are no reason for inconpatibility )
considering that the ts7300 PC104 bus are right , the error are occuring
in the frame buffer modules (ts7kvfb et all)

your comments are problems,I need solutions
what is your are selling?
Problems or solution?
Thanks
Paulo Palmeira

Paulo,
I'm not sure if the TS-7300 and TS-7KV are fully compatible.

The script /etc/rc2.S/S99ts7kvfb is what is causing the problem. You may want
to disable this script entirely or you may want to change it, depending on what
TS-7KV features you intend to use. My observation is that the module ts7kvfb
is producing and error, and the module ts7kvserial is hanging the board.

Sincerely,
Grant
