I am using an Adhoc connection with my 7260.

Your Macbook must be configured for a static IP address in the same subnet as
the 7260. For your setup, the static address needs to be 192.168.0.xxx. Also,
I have the 7260 search for and connect to my notebook computer, not the other
way around. If you want your notebook computer to search for and connect to
your 7260, you need to change the mode on the 7260 to 'Master'.
