[ts-7000] compile kernel

hi all .............
its me mahmoud ihave been working on Ts7200 from 5 months ago
to complete my project which is wirelees internet radio but ihave some of 
proplemes i want to enabel the usb sound card to get the voice from the kit but 
dosent done bcz my kernel is 2.4 so that im try the follwoing :
1- install the kernal 2.6 on the compact flash and booting from it and its 
dosent done..
2- delete the kernel 2.4 and install the ketnel 2.6 on he flash momery and its 
dosent done.....
my proplem are i cant execute the kernel this error i get:
kernel panic: you attempt to kill init..
so that iwant to execute the kernel by using NFS this the last choice i have 
plz if there any one to help me plz and plz and plz help me as soon as posible 
bcz there is no enough time to do ......
if any one can help me to execute the kernel and enable the usb sound card help 
me ..........
