Hi all,
I am finding very helpful the information in this Group. But still I am having
problems installing 2.6.27.4 kernel on TS-7260. What I have done is:
- Install debian-sarge-udev-11-15-2007.tar.gz as the root file system on a NFS
unit.
- Donwload 2.6.27 kernel sources and apply linux-2.6.27.4-ts-7200_matt-4.patch
- Generate compressed kernel image and kernel modules using cross-compilation
tool with gcc-4.1.0 and libc-2.3.2.
- Then, I copied the kernel modules into /lib/modules/2.6.27.4-matt/ folder on
the NFS.
Once I had all this, I went into redboot and load the kernel image using http:
> load -v -r -b 0x00218000 -m http -h x.x.x.x zImage2.6.27.4
Then I execute it with the command:
> exec -c "console=ttyAM0,115200 ip=dhcp
> nfsroot=x.x.x.x:/home/magda/ts7260/nfsroot2.6"
And sadly nothing happens....
The following message appears:
"Using base address 0x00218000 and length 0x001c1af4"
And then it stops for ever..
If I try the kernel image for 2.6.21 provided by embeddedarm FTP then it works
perfectly but then when I try the kernel image generated by myself for 2.6.27.4
it doesn´t. Could it be due to the cross-compilation tool?
Can anyone help me with this? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks a million!
Magda
