Hi Bob,

Other than moderating the group, I haven't had much chance recently to read 
many of the posts - too busy working on my 7390 application...

Good to hear you managed to get the splash screen working, I don't know why it 
wouldn't work with dither enabled - I can't remember what I did when I changed 
the splash screen for my 7300 system.

I only use a small splash banner, maybe the issue is regarding the size of the 
resulting splash screen - as dithering may significanlty increase the file size.
