AFAIK, the SD card is the only HW that is not supported by either the vanilla
kernel or by TS released source code. The TS-kernel sources have the source
code for the TS-UART drivers, which should work as long as the FPGA image is
loaded. They might need some attention to forward port them to a recent 2.6
kernel, but that's better than trying to link in a blob like you have to do for
SD card support.

I don't have problems with a FPGA bitstream load, any more than I have problems
with the firmware needed for my scsi card or wireless card (for example).
