Hi All.

I need to build the latest 2.6 kernel because of particular needs; BUT I also
require the 6 of the 10 (fpga coded) UARTs that EmbeddedARM.com TS-7800 board
provides.

My question:

If I reconfigure & build a newer 2.6.x kernel release (not the ts-kernel), will
copying the EmbeddedARM supplied kernel modules to the correct
/lib/2.6.x/modules tree and, simply issuing a "modprobe ts..." get them to load
and work correctly?

Or are there "gotch ya" that one must be aware off.

Module Size Used by
tsuart7800 2716 0
tsuart1 13964 5 tsuart7800
tssdcard 32192 0
ts7800 3600 2

Has anyone actual done this?

Thanks & Cheers.
Grahame
