Hi Paul,

Nope, no usb hubs involved. Plugged directly into one of the USB ports.

I must also mention that it is not just a problem with the serial converter.
I have a ELMScan USB (http://www.scantool.net/scan-tools/elmscan-5-usb.html). I seem to miss an important
character from this, the final > character. I also have to investigate if others are missed but seems that it the final one usually.

Thanks,

Regards,
Donal

Thanks Donal for the information. It is good to know that the
USR995700-USB USB-to-Serial Cable has the pl2303 chipset since that is
the chipset that works well for me in my IOGear GUC232A adapter.

Are you using the adapter plugged into a USB hub? If so you might try
using the adapter in one of the TS-7390 on-board USB ports and see if
that works better?
