using an allegedly out-of-the box TS-7250 board, i've had far more
luck messing around with the 2.4.26 kernel; now i'd like to test
booting using a downloaded 2.6 kernel and NFS mounting a root
filesystem, so i'll keep this short:
should i be able to TFTP download the prebuilt
zImage-72xx-2.6.21-ts, and NFS mount the
debian-sarge-udev-11-15-2007.tar.gz root filesystem? i know all the
details of TFTP and NFS and so on, i'm just asking if those two
components should simply *work* and whether they're compatible.
thanks.
rday
p.s. if those two pieces *aren't* compatible, feel free to suggest
what would be. the sarge tarball is downloading as we speak, should
be able to test in a few minutes.
