i'll have a longer post shortly but here's a toolchain question --
which one should i be using? on this page:
http://www.embeddedarm.com/software/software-arm-linux.php
i can see four different toolchains. which one is the *safest* for
trying to compile both a 2.4 and 2.6 kernel? because, if memory
serves, the 2.6.17 kernel does *not* have an EABI option, while the
2.6.21 *does*. could that be my problem -- a mismatch related to
EABI?
in any event, if i want to play it safe, perhaps i should just use
the "gcc-4.0.1-glibc-2.3.5 - old abi" toolchain to avoid any issues.
or is none of that relevant?

p.s. i apologize for asking such painfully trivial questions -- once
i get past this, i'm sure i'll be able to handle it.
