Hi charlie,

thanks for your answer.

After successfully downloading the install image to RAM, type go to start the kernel and menu driven installation program. The NetBSD installation program will take you through installing NetBSD to your CompactFlash card or USB thumb drive.  When the time comes to ask for the installation medium, choose "FTP" and accept the default parameters since the installation kernel you downloaded from Technologic Systems will default to the correct FTP location (also at Technologic Systems)

--> Yes, I am currently installing netbsd (partially) using the firs step. However, while downloading the package from the ftp, I was stuck (or it means finished?) in a command line which is a "db>   "
(it seems not a redboot/a nix shell)

Does it mean that my usb is already installed with the netbsd? what kind of command line is that?

Sorry if i mixed up several meanings, because english is not my main language. it is a bit difficult to communicate my thoughts :)

Thanks again

I'll leave alone the question of why you want to change from linux to
netbsd .... You know that is not 'reinstalling everything' right?

In reading Jesse's netbsd page, I see that what you did above is the
*second* step. The *first* step is to install the netbsd OS to a
Compact Flash card, while the second step installs a netbsd kernel
that boots from the CF. If you really want to install netbsd, re-read
Jesse's page, and read the TS-7200 docs:
http://www.embedded arm.com/products /board-detail. php?product= TS-7200#

Sorry, those won't work, they are x86 distros, while the TS-7200
system is based on an ARM processor. Any system or binary you install
must be compiled for ARM.

I suggest you read the docs linked to above, and re-load the standard
TS linux kernel & distro. Then you will have lots of documentation
available and resources in the discussion group archives. If you try
netbsd, there is a much smaller pool of experience (at least here ...)
