Hello, there is small issue with TS7400 debian (and probably other boards) (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=387861). /etc/init.d/checkroot.sh is run before /etc/init.d/hwclockfirst.sh, so even if you have RTC installed, time on fsck is not set and root system is always checked (too long from last check). Simple solution is to rename /etc/rcS.d/S18hwclockfirst.sh to /etc/rcS.d/S08hwclockfirst.sh so that clock is set correctly. Hope that this helps someone ...
