Hi,
I just successfully auto-mount ba 2GB SD card in my TS-7800. I can do
everything I want to read/wrtie/execute within TS7800 environment
itself. However, when I tried to do the same thing through FTP from my
other PC (running vista), I realize I cannot write any file to the SD
card.
Looking at the permission mode of the SD card in TS-7800, it is as
follows: drwxr_xr_w root root mySDcard/
I have tried to change the umask in /etc/login.defs from 022 to 002 so
as to get the group to perform writing. However, I could not change any
permission above even using 'chmod g+w /home/eclispe/mySDcard'. I am
running root myself but seem that I can't even change the permission.
The permission of parent directory is drwxrwxr_x, so I suppose I can
change the permission mode at the SD card level, but I just could get
the group write to be enabled.
After some meddling, I realize the problem seems to lie that the
ownership above root:root seems to be the problem. I think if it can be
change to eclispe:eclipse, using 'chown eclipse:eclipse mySDcard/, it
should allow me to do write. but this command was encountered
with "operation not permitted" Strange, i am running root, why change I
change it?
Anyone knows how to make my SD card writable again through FTP? My SD
card filesystem is VFAT. Thanks.
Regards
Ken
