If you have an SD card on your host you can use the 'dd' command to copy 
the kernel image to the kernel partition (*) of the SD card.  (I would 
make a backup copy of the SD card first, or at least the existing 
contents of part2, just in case you need it.)

You can also copy the image to the kernel partition (*) of the on-board 
flash but you will have to do it from the booted board, and if the 
kernel is bad you'll need the SD card approach to recover anyway, so I 
would recommend going that route first.

(*) The kernel partition is the first partition of type 0xDA.  For a 
TS-7800 this is typically part2 for the SD card (don't remember off the 
top of my head what it is for the on-board flash).
