I'm using the kernel 2.6.21 from ts (I'm almost sure I deleted the support from V4L when I configured the kernel, so the default config should work for you). The most difficult part was creating the ramdisk with the propietary sd kernel module from TS (it would be a loooooooot easyer if it was possible to compile it inside the kernel).
If you want to recover your system try to boot with the jumper and exec save. Remove the jumper and restart the system.
I hope this works for you

I'm a new developer in TS-7400 and i have troubles...

I was recompiling a new kernel 2.4 with V4L Support, but I didn't find
anythig about setting the memory addres of my vmlinux.bin, so I
coppeied a new vmlinux.bin to SD Card, and mounted in my old kernel
2.4. I don't know why, but I mounted my vmlinux.bin in /dev/mtdblock,
and when i rebooted i had kernel panic.

I booted with ts-9441 with boot jumper like the manual tells, and I
did the procedure like manual to recover the system.

$ln -sf /linuxrc-mtdroot /linuxrc; save
$save
$exit

And I have my old linux in my board.
But When i remove jumper of ts9441, i have the fastboot 1.1s, and when
i write 'exit' command, I have this erros message:

>> Booting Linux (using onboard flash)...
pivot_root: pivot_root: No such file or directory
/linuxrc: 47: ./bin/mount: not found
/linuxrc: 48: ./bin/mount: nKernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
ot found
/l inuxrc: 49: cannot open ./dev/ttyAM0: No such file

So anybody could help me, to recover my system, or better, anybody
could help me to port my new kernel with V4L in my board?

Thanks
Regards
TMoraes
