Hi Michael,

Thank you for the quick answer! You're perfect. The last 2 bytes are initialized to 0x55 and 0xAA, but the other 112 bytes remain untouched.

The device driver is writing a couple values (something like 0xAA 0x55)
to the top two address of the RTC as part of the test to see if the RTC
is present.
